I got a text in the afternoon of March 29th that this mama-to-be was at 3cm and was being checked into the hospital. I didn’t rush, because it was still early and she had said her last labor was really long (3 hours of pushing!) So, I packed my bag and waited…
At 7:00pm I took my daughters to swim lessons, got home around 7:45pm and checked my phone. She was at 7cm. Ahhh! Time to hit the road!
I stopped for a coffee on my way to the hospital, still expecting a fairly long night. While I was driving I got another text “I’m at a 10cm, trying to slow it down for you” and I kicked myself for stopping for coffee! ‘I might miss it!’ I thought to myself as my foot pressed harder on the gas.
Fortunately, I didn’t miss it, but it was only two hours from the time I got to the hospital to the time baby Carson was born! Pushing was just minutes, not hours long, like Lindsay’s first birth. It was amazing.
Big brother Jackson along with mom, dad, friends and family welcomed baby Carson into the world at 10:45 pm that night. He was born at 7 lbs 9 ounces and 20 inches long. Congratulations Lindsay, Jason & Jax! Thank you so much for letting me be a fly on the wall during these incredible moments. 🙂
Incredible! Beautiful family, and lucky Momma to be spoiled by all those boys!! 🙂
