I’m always nervous when going to a clients home for a newborn session, because these sessions are dependent on two things. 1) good light and 2) space. I need a space near a window that provides enough light for me. When I arrived at little Octavia’s home I was in love. The windows covered the living room. It was a newborn photographers dream. And the positives didn’t end there. Little Octavia was a sweet baby. She was tiny, slept well and let me change her positions frequently.
This was my first official session back from maternity leave and it was a good way to start off the year!
This was a special bib that the family wanted to use. I wasn’t sure how to incorporate it into the session without overpowering the baby, but I think that the bright pillows help to blend it in. This actually ended up being one of my favorite photos!
