Meet Francesca Marie, otherwise known as Frannie.
She was born on August 27th, 2013 after a 34 hour natural labor. Mama April was a trooper (to say the least) and her support team was amazing (high five to dad Andrew for holding or pushing or rubbing April’s back non-stop!) It was so sweet to watch.
Frannie was born at 1:13 pm (lucky number 13:13!). She was 8 pounds, 4 ounces and 21 inches long. She got a little stuck while coming out, so her first minute of life was a bit scary as the room filled with nurses who quickly rushed Frannie away from mom before she even got a chance to see her. Luckily after some quick action by the wonderful medical team, Frannie let out her first cry. It was a beautiful sound that brought me to tears.
