Tacoma Newborn Photographer

I’m thinking I need to start naming my blogs something more search engine friendly, like “Seattle Maternity Photographer” or “Tacoma Newborn Photographer“… Boring, yet effective. If anyone wants to school me in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), I’d love to learn!

With that said, here are some pics from a newborn session I did on Sunday.

I feel so lucky that I am allowed to take photos of peoples newborn babies. He was my 9th newborn! I feel like I’m starting to get a hang of it. I’m ready to take on lots more newborns!! 🙂

I really wanted to use this prop. He was a little big for it, but I still like this shot.

Remember the umbrella maternity pics? That is this babies mama! She ended up delivery at almost 42 weeks, 7 weeks after these photos were taken.

I don’t think I ever shared more of those photos, so here are some of them…

Can you believe that little guy was in her belly!? Such a miracle 🙂

Boy do I love the talent you have! These pictures are fabulous. I’ve recommended you to my pregnant bestie for her photos. She lives in Bellingham, but I know her and the hubs would have no problem driving to Tacoma either 🙂

I’ll totally make you smoked salmon chowder. We really should make a date to become weird internet friends in real life.

  4. Shannon says:

What great shots! I love the one with the little guy in the basket and his mouth is in the ‘o’ position, its adorable. I’ve been wondering, when shooting newborns do you use natural light or do you bring in extra lights? I always question which way its done but I never ask! The pictures always seem to have great exposure.

  10. Care – these are beautiful! i’m having a hard time picking a fav… i think it would be the basket shot…love love the belly shot with the carter blocks.

    Had to ask.

  16. Sandy says:

Katie – I’m actually going to Houston in late Jan/early Feb to photograph one of my best friends newborns. Maybe we could schedule a family session!? I will probably be there for a week!

Cassie – Thanks for telling your friends about me. Bellingham is totally driveable… I’ve always wanted to go up there! I agree we should meet sometime. Not sure when/where/how, but it would be fun!

  21. So I semi hate when you post these gorgeous pictures because I get so jealous 🙁 I want photos just like yours of my Kaia! Are you ever going to be in the VA area so I could hire you? Or maybe I’ll have to come to you if we can ever make it out to see my best friend in WA.

  29. kristin says:

I just realized I never commented on this post- probably b/c I had 10.5 seconds online and that only allowed me enough time to simply VIEW your beautiful work! 😉 I love that second pose where the baby’s chin is resting on his hands- ahhh! How DO you do it, Care, haha! Will baby girl Stevenson be too young to mold into a cute picture like that? Haha, after you get a pic of her coming out, go ahead and pose her in the little hospital bassinet, will ya?
    LOVE YOU!

  30. Terell says:
